Retro Fashion in Bucharest

YES! Again, something in connection with me moving from home :))I was looking around an amazing photography site (Muzeul de fotografie - the Photography Museum) and I came across this photo:You (if you are not Romanian) just can't imagine how unrealistic this photo (magazine cover) is! :))
Text from site:
It is the cover of the famous magazine Der Spiegel of August 1964 announcing an extensive feature report on Soviet policy relaxation in the Eastern Bloc countries. The photograph illustrates the entire idea very well. We have a clean and spacious Bucharest, with a group of relatively Westernized, John Travolta – Grease – like young people next to the most important Soviet symbols in the capital: Lenin and Casa Scanteii.

Upset?

Today, somebody asked me if I was upset with them...actually, recently this was a popular topic between me and my friends. But, the fact is, I don't get upset with people... I believe each and everyone of us has a good reason for doing things that might hurt others.

I don't get upset. I get disappointed, I get hurt...I stop believing in people, in love, in friendship. I get sad.

My father took this picture of me, when I was home a few weeks ago. I miss him and my mom...and my friends and everything back home. But (funny thing) I found things to miss here as well! ;)) I'm crazy! Anyways...LOVEEE my hair color! ;))

People and Words

Sooo...naughty naughty me, I was thinking about copying some images from the walls of a few Facebook friends and post them here. Just like that! ;)) But then I realized they are so cool, that I have to say who found them! ;)) So, Facebook people, I don't know all of you, but I like your style! ;)

The images are saved with the names of the owners. Thank you all for sharing! :)

Walk This Way!

In other words, the new all-black look for men, for the upcoming cold season! Now, here are some picks from Complex Magazine.

Cool and hip and...sooo RUN DMC!!! One just can't ignore the key pieces, the retro vibe!
I like it and it's a smart passage from hipster-mania, back to a street-smart. A great and simple (smarty) look for your man to go out and play! Yeah! It's like that,/ and that's the way it is!From: Complex Magazine

Sexy as a CAT

Or sexy cats...or...puffff, I don't know. I really don't! :))) It's feline fashion I guess and it's fun-funny. So, it can find a place here! Come on! Cats in clothes...cute and funny! But no, not sexy, not sexy like cat-woman! :)))

It's the work of photographer Noah Sheldon. I will admit, I like it. I like the fact that the cats look so soft and (really) humanly! Noah has many more great works, so be sure to check them out! From: Noah Sheldon

The Way I Measure Time

Chaplin on Self-loving

I found this and it's said it was written by Charlie Chaplin, on his 70th birthday. Now, I'm not so sure about that, but even so... Makes you stop and smell the roses, buy a crazy pair of shoes...whatever fits you! Enjoy :)As I began to love myself I found that anguish and emotional suffering
are only warning signs that I was living against my own truth.
Today, I know, this is "AUTHENTICITY".

As I began to love myself I understood how much it can offend somebody
As I try to force my desires on this person, even though I knew the time
was not right and the person was not ready for it, and even though this
person was me. Today I call it "RESPECT".

As I began to love myself I stopped craving for a different life,
and I could see that everything that surrounded me was inviting me to grow.
Today I call it "Maturity".

As I began to love myself I understood that at any circumstance,
I am in the right place at the right time, and everything happens
at the exactly right moment. So I could be calm.
Today I call it "SELF-CONFIDENCE".

As I began to love myself I quit steeling my own time,
and I stopped designing huge projects for the future.
Today, I only do what brings me joy and happiness, things I love to do
and that make my heart cheer, and I do them in my own way and in
my own rhythm. Today I call it "SIMPLICITY".

As I began to love myself I freed myself of anything that is no good for
my health - food, people, things, situations, and everything the drew
me down and away from myself. At first I called this attitude
a healthy egoism. Today I know it is "LOVE OF ONESELF".

As I began to love myself I quit trying to always be right, and ever since
I was wrong less of the time. Today I discovered that is "MODESTY".

As I began to love myself I refused to go on living in the past and worry
about the future. Now, I only live for the moment, where EVERYTHING
is happening. Today I live each day, day by day, and I call it "FULFILLMENT".

As I began to love myself I recognized that my mind can disturb me
and it can make me sick. But As I connected it to my heart, my
mind became a valuable ally. Today I call this
connection "WISDOM OF THE HEART".

We no longer need to fear arguments, confrontations or any kind of problems
with ourselves or others. Even stars collide, and out of their crashing
new worlds are born.Today I know THAT IS "LIFE"!

Because Fashion IS Fun!

OK, this is one of the funniest thing I've seen in a while now!

All because miss Miruna gave it as a gift to Irina! Don't know who I'm talking about? Well, you've seen them in my photos, but the most important this is that they are 2 of my very very good friends! :)

So, the book is The Museum of Kitschy Stitches. Love love it! The photos are bad, but I don't mind. Take them as a teaser! Believe me, you have to buy the book! (get it from Amazon) ;))) so so so deliciously funny, fashionable and evil! My kind of combination!

Now, my sweet Redhead from Timisoara, I'm sure you'll enjoy this:From:The Museum of Kitschy Stitches
